For some fortunate gamblers, a brand-new version of the well-liked Dragon Link slot machines from Aristocrat Gaming could transform their lives when it arrives at the Venetian Las Vegas.
Today, the Australian manufacturer of gaming devices revealed that the Venetian and the Palazzo had the first Dragon Link slots with a $2 million maximum payout. The $1 million version of the game is now available at both casinos on the Las Vegas Strip.
"Players at both properties can choose from Dragon Link Genghis Khan™ and Dragon Link Peace and Long Life™. Both appear on the MarsX™ Upright cabinet by Aristocrat Gaming,” according to a statement issued by Aristocrat.
The $2 million Dragon Link machines will join their $1 million counterparts in high-limit locations, which is not surprising. The slots are in the high-limit gaming room at the Palazzo, and the High-Limit Slots Salon in the Venetian. The two casinos' main floors include versions of the game with smaller maximum payouts.
Slots at Venetian Dragon Link Won't Be Cheap
Slot machine jackpots have the same life-altering potential as lottery winnings, but the financial commitment to the former is far greater.
Stories of bettors winning large sums of money on slot machines for pennies are common in Las Vegas and other casino regions, but other gaming devices with enormous reward potential come with high admission fees. On a Dragon Link machine earlier this year, a customer at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas won $165K and then $545K, although each play cost $2,500.
On the other hand, Mega Millions and Powerball tickets cost $2 each, whereas the majority of state lottery tickets only cost $1. In April of next year, Mega Millions tickets will cost $5.
Although the maximum credit bets for the $2 million Dragon Link slots at the Venetian Palazzo were not specified in Aristocrat's press statement announcing their debut, it is assumed that each play will be high due to the possibility of large prizes and the machines' placement in high-limit areas.
Dragon Link's Slot Star Power
While it is a stretch to compare inanimate items to celebrities, some do manage to achieve that position. Think of consumer electronics like Apple's iPhone. In terms of popularity and star power, one could argue that Dragon Link is comparable to the iPhone's slot equivalent in the gaming industry.
Dragon Link, one of the most well-known slot machines in the world, has a loyal fan base and has attracted competitors who have been pushed away because of legal concerns.
“Dragon Link is one of the most popular and award-winning slot games in the world. Most recently, the game was named the Top Performing Proprietary Branded Game in the 2023 EKG Awards,” added Aristocrat in the statement.
