The fifth PROLINE sportsbook lounge in the province is set to open at Chances Casino Fort St. John, according to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC).

This Sunday from 1 pm to 10 pm MST is the grand opening event.

Similar to the other sportsbook lounges that opened earlier this year at Parq Casino in Vancouver, Chances Kelowna, Chances Maple Ridge, and Casino of the Rockies Sportsbook Lounge, BCLC is betting that the excitement that occurs when sports fans congregate in one location to watch and wager on sports, the numerous TV screens, and the assortment of food and drinks will attract more people to the casino properties.

A BCLC spokeswoman stated that the Chances Terrace Sportsbook Lounge is scheduled to debut later this year.

 

Betting on Live Sports

Sports betting, including parlays, live event betting, and single-event betting, is available on self-serve terminals in the sportsbook lounges.

A 24-foot screen that allows participants to view numerous games at once marks the Fort St. John lounge.  There are six self-serve stations on the grounds.

DeepMarkit Declares Intentions to Enter the Prediction Industry

Prospect Prediction Markets Inc., a private firm that creates fantasy sports software with a free-to-play prediction market platform on the Avalanche blockchain, has been acquired by DeepMarkit Corp., a business listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.

DeepMarkit shares will be exchanged for prospective owners as part of the agreement, which is valued at CA$600,000.  Prospect CEO Trevor Broad will join DeepMarkit as CTO.

The tech firm DeepMarkit Corp. has divisions engaged in tokenization, blockchain, and artificial intelligence.
